ELA (Literature and Composition)

Service Description

In this year long course, students will learn key reading foundation skills, language, spelling, speaking, listening and writing skills. Using Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturistic Textbook, Wordly Wise and Writeshop I, students will become proficient at comprehending and analyzing fiction and non-fiction texts, composing various writing pieces, evaluating literature, using conventions of standard English appropriately, understanding vocabulary and more! ​ Upon course enrollment, students will receive an email with the syllabus and login details. Ideal for students in grades 6-8. Students must be proficient and fluent readers. *Class meets 1x/week (Mondays 2-3p.m.) *Please contact us with questions or a guide to reading levels before registering.

Cancellation Policy

If service or course is cancelled 14 or more days prior to start dates, you will receive 50% refund. If service or course is cancelled 3-14 days prior to start dates, you will receive 50% refund. If cancelled 3 days or less (including day of service/class), you will receive 0% refund.
